Job Description:
This position is responsible for the in-house, on-site, and remote installation and configuration of client systems. Installation includes: hardware assembly, operating system installation, and software integration for all DDG computer systems. This position is expected to carry out field technician duties, which include installation, troubleshooting, and repair of existing systems at local customer’s sites. This position will require 60-75% travel. Position also functions as backup technical support team member when in-house.
Resposibilities:
  1. Performs system installations both in-house and on-site for customer orders.
  2. Work with customers, project manager, and sales staff to install systems according to details outlined in a installation documents.
  3. Install, maintain and support all current and past Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft IIS web servers running our web-based products and Scala InfoChannel products
  4. Work closely with our computer vendors when problem arises. RMA parts for computer repairs and research part changes when technology changes occur
  5. Assist with the implementation, maintenance of our custom software applications and researching new platforms before they go live at a customer’s site.
  6. System testing – test all systems thoroughly before they are deployed.
  7. Assisting the help desk with repairs and dispatching on site technicians or coordinating use of our loaner systems.
  8. Logistic and tracking of systems which consist of entering and maintaining database records for all computer systems integrated by Alpha Video DDG.
  9. Assist the help-desk staff in taking phone calls while in-house.
  10. Problem/call ticket entry into Alert software.
Qualifications:
  1. Highly Motivated.
  2. Positive attitude.
  3. Ability to learn new material quickly and easily.
  4. Capability to clearly and promptly document installation procedures.
  5. Extensive hardware, software installation and troubleshooting experience.
  6. Desired certifications: Microsoft MCP, A+, other CompTIA.
  7. Ability and willingness to complete on site work.
  8. Willing to travel to remote customer sites up to 75% when required.
  9. Experience traveling for business.
